Putting Life Back in Lifestyle

September 21, 2015

Nutella Paratha When it comes to blogging, I want to keep my options open, but covering each category equally is just impossible. I know most of my readers like beauty stuff because more or less that is what JCB is crowded with for the maximum amount of time, but I really try to break that every once in a while even if not regularly. Judging by the title, you know this…

Washing and Maintenance of Makeup Brushes

August 30, 2015

As much as we love applying makeup, taking it off and washing the brushes is such a chore. However, if you do not wash your brushes regularly and do not take care of them, they will not only house bacteria but also, you will be needing new brushes sooner. Therefore, depending on my usage, I wash my brushes on a weekly basis but some of them, like foundation brushes, require…

Pro Advice on Liquid Lipsticks

August 29, 2015

The promise of super long lasting and matte drying liquid lipsticks seemed so alluring that most of us at some point got sucked in by it. Isn’t it? However, I am sure the struggle only just began once we got on with our first tubes. Recently, I asked on my social media and local bloggers group to send in their liquid lipstick troubles and I was not at all surprised…

Twenty Fourteen Milestone Timeline

January 1, 2015

Twenty Fourteen has been an amazing year filled with love, support and rewards. I feel humbled and grateful for everything that I have been blessed with this year. I was planning to do an end of 2014 post, but I didn’t want to do the usual yearly favourites or stuff that you are already seeing in your feeds. Therefore, I decided to a Milestone Timeline to keep track of all…

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for an overwhelming response on all of my Halloween looks! I feel absolutely touched by all the appreciation from you guys, people I look up to like Wafa Khan, my family, my best friend, my circle and even from people I don’t even know! My Hand-made Cards

November 10, 2012

As a young girl, I always wanted to give something special to my family on days like Mother’s day, Father’s day, birthdays etc but what?! was the only issue. I couldn’t buy them gifts because I was too young to go out on my own and it wouldn’t have been a surprise for them otherwise. So, I had to put on my thinking cap and just be creative.  Therefore, since…

Azaadi Mubarak, hum-watano πŸ‡΅πŸ‡° Happy Independ Azaadi Mubarak, hum-watano πŸ‡΅πŸ‡° Happy Independence Day πŸ’š

75 years ago, our ancestors chose freedom over slavery for us. They found the light at the end of the tunnel and even though things are not hunky-dory for us at all times, I am extremely proud of my identity as a Pakistani living abroad. No matter what, our people are good people with big hearts and no one can take that away from us.

It is not easy to be away from home albeit life has its own perks abroad. Pakistan is still indeed a heaven of sorts. In my darkest of hours I always think about how far I've come in my own journey as a desi living away from home and all my struggle today is only to give back to my people some day. πŸ™Œ

Eternally grateful to @lt.photograph for this photoshoot we did two years ago on campus, representing my culture! ✨
