Last year we celebrated Eid ul Fitr with all the students at the Zucker Fest (Sugar Festival), as that's what Meethi (Sweet) Eid is called in German.

It was an amazing day for one too many reasons! 😆 However, this time around, I had no one to celebrate with so I just decided to visit the pavilion again to relive some sweet memories of last year. 💖

Also, I am running out of desi clothes as I only brought a couple with me and my parents had sent me just a couple more later on. Though I have nothing fancy. Therefore, I just wore this white menswear shalwar kameez that I had asked my mum for when it became a trend last year.

I hadn't worn it until now as I have another one in black so it ended up becoming my new eid outfit. I also draped an ajrak around my neck which is a traditional block print apparel from my province, Sindh.

This pandemic threw a spanner in the works and my plan of going back home was ruined. I feel as if I've been living in a fort for the past three months and have spent some of the loneliest days of my life.

I know a lot of people are going through something similar or perhaps even worse. My heart goes out to everyone who's suffering.

Praying for a miracle because I can't imagine spending the rest of the year locked up in my room.
