Holy Grail | Beauty Edition

Holy Grail Products Beauty Edition

It’s been a while since I posted anything other than reviews and blogger events, so this post is a little different. Over time I have found some products that I have been loving and I just wanted to share them with you all.

Pond’s White Beauty Cream*: I already shared my 7 Days Diary when I first started testing this cream out, and I am onto my second pot now. It’s not very moisturising as it dries matte and controls shine, but I still find it helpful to get rid of spots and scabs. It’s a good day cream and I have been using it as a dark circles treatment too. For me it works best when my skin is still a little damp after pat drying.
Price: 220 PKR

ponds white beauty cream and oilatum soap

Stiefel Oilatum Soap: I have been using this soap for my face for over a year now and I’m currently just on my third or fourth bar which means it lasts a really long time. I had been prescribed this by my dermatologist and I’m so glad that I finally have something to wash my face with without drying it out. As I have been mentioning it in my past posts that my skin is a lot more tamed now and this is one of the reasons why. I don’t even dare to use any other face washing product, at least on the upper half of my face (yup, that’s how crazy a combo skin’s care routine can get). Most products give me instant red splotches and eventually my skin peels off. This is perfect for dry skin sufferers, but do consult a dermatologist first.
Price: 150 PKR

REM Hair Removal Tool: Now this is a very interesting tool and I’m actually surprised that I haven’t seen any Pakistani bloggers talking about it. I first saw this incredible spring like thingy in a Bubzbeauty video long time ago and wanted to get my hands on it so badly ever since. Then a while ago I came across a local facebook page Ecstatics, which brings foreign beauty and styling stuff to your doorstep and that is where I bought this from (good service). It’s a hair removal tool for all that nasty peach fuzz that sprouts back so quickly that I couldn’t keep up with parlour appointments any longer and needed something to work for me at home. REM tool is pretty easy to use, you just have to bend it in a U shape and roll it upwards by twisting the pink handles inwards (anti-clockwise in the horizontal plane) to fuzz off. For hard to catch hair, I lightly pull the spring apart, trap the fuzz in it and roll with or without bending. It does hurt a little bit, all the same as threading, so do keep your skin tight with your tongue where needed. It’s not advisable to use this for your eyebrows as you might pluck your lashes off in the process. To clean, just gently pull the spring and blow. To sterilize I go over with an alcohol swab or Dettol on a cotton ball. It’s made out of stainless steel so it’s safe to use.
Price: 550 PKR

rem hair removal tool face epilator and tweezers

Rivaj UK Tweezers: These go hand in hand with my REM tool for plucking off any leftover, extremely tiny hair. They are very precise, pointy and gentle. For the price, the quality is remarkable.
Price: 78 PKR

sweet touch england lipstick 761 matte

Sweet Touch 761 Matte Lipstick*: I used to be the girl who did a full face of makeup, and then shied away from lipsticks. As mentioned in my review, this lipstick had something about it that just got me hooked and made me feel more confident about wearing lipsticks in general. I feel this is a very convenient product for newbies even if the formula on its own is not too hydrating.
Price: 270 PKR

Maybelline Baby Lips*: This lip balm has either been hyped about or booed by beauty bloggers worldwide. I would be doing a detailed review this winter as by then I would have used it through all the seasons but so far I like it for everyday wear.
Price: 350 PKR

loreal paris manga mascara and maybelline baby lips

L’Oreal Paris Manga Mascara*: Another product that you would either love or hate and yet again I fall in the former category. Ever since the first application, I got hooked to this mascara for it makes my lashes look big and flattering. Yes, it tends to get clumpy but that is what actual manga eyes look like to me. Though one thing that I don’t like about this mascara is that it tends to get flaky if you build up coats especially after they dry, which they do quickly. Check out my full review.
Price: 1500 PKR

When I saw that hair removal tool I was like…what on earth is that hahaha. You've reminded me that I've been meaning to get Miss Manga, but I've already placed an order for that crazy Avon Mega Effects mascara so I think I'll have to wait some more!
