My 2017 has had a great start already and I hope the year would just get better for all of us! If you follow me on my social media, Snapchat and Instagram especially, you would know that I recently flew to UAE. Even though it was a short trip, this break was much needed as I have also just graduated from university and it really helped in refreshing my mind.
So launching my own YouTube channel has been in the pipelines for quite some time. I already had a Skin18 Modeling Cup Mask video up but it was mainly just a demonstration for my blog. However, I have been working on a couple other video projects for the past month so now is the perfect time for me to finally say hello to the world of YouTube.
It is a bit daunting at the moment as there is so much to figure out and even though ever since I started blogging I always had YouTube on my mind too but all this while I waited for everything to be perfect. I mean from equipment to editing software and all that jazz. Honestly, if I just keep sitting on my bums for perfection, it would never strike. So what I have finally realized is that I should start producing content already and I will probably improve with time, the same way I did with my blog. This is something I would also advise anybody who wants to venture out but is afraid of not being able to keep up with the pros. We all start somewhere and nobody is perfect right from the beginning. So pursue what you like and once you put your fears behind and enjoy what you do, you will win over others too.
I am sure you are wondering what exactly I would post on my channel and will it be related to my blog or not. Well, I do see it as an extension of my blog but I will be mostly covering beauty and fashion with vlogs occasionally if I have something interesting to share. Funnily enough, I do have a lot of travel content to share at the moment since I just got back from my short vacation.
So today’s video shows the beautiful dancing fountain of Dubai which is right in between Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall. Now, most tourists prefer to watch the show at the night time but I had a flight back home on the same day that I had the opportunity to witness this wonderful water dance so I shot this during the daytime of course. Trust me, I think it looks a lot more mesmerizing in the afternoon than it does at night with artificial lighting. You can see it for yourself below!
Isn’t it amazing? The way water danced with the music was so enchanting. Sadly, the music in this video is not what was originally playing in the background as YouTube gave me a copyright claim against it so I had to swap it with another royalty-free song. It is weird though because the audio was not what I had inserted in the video myself and in fact was what was actually playing at the location. Anyways, if you enjoyed, please like and share the video. Also, do subscribe to my Youtube Channel for more awesome content related to my UAE trip which will include, a quick vlog, lookbook and shopping hauls!
