Millennial:
As mentioned in my previous FPW post, before the actual shows a Millennial show was held in which new designers displayed their talent.
Royal Soccer by Aalish Mansoor |
Vanishing Culture by Nitasha Yaqub |
Vanishing Culture by Nitasha Yaqub looked extremely elegant and classy as the models walked on the ramp in all whites.
Modern Denimology by Sameer Sain |
Modern Denimology by Sameer Sain was a strong reinforcement of the fact that denim and fall go hand in hand though glitter on foreheads as part of styling was just a bit too much.
Scarlett Night by Abel Emanuel |
Scarlett Night by Abel Emanuel looked like a luxurious collection with peculiar yet modern hats.
Flight of Birds by Madiha Raza |
Flight of Birds by Madiha Raza defined exotic. As the name suggests, it was all about birds, tropical birds. From the actual dresses to coats to bags to shoes, everything was detailed to perfection.
Venue: French Beach, Karachi by Athar Hafeez for Sana Safinaz |
Aurora by Ishtiaq Afzal |
A Golden State of Mind by Levis |
Baroque by Ayesha F. Hashwani |
Baroque by Ayesha F. Hashwani was a stunning dark collection with exquisite details and gold thread work on luxurious materials like silk and velvet.
Gul Ahmed |
Black on Fire by Aamna Aqeel |
Black on Fire by Aamna Aqeel certainly showed fierce bursts of colour with intricate details added using sequins and diamantes.
Neo Nude by Zaheer Abbas |
Neo Nude by Zaheer Abbas used light flowy fabric that conceptualised mystery with a strong punch of beige, maroon and black. The blonde fringes though didn’t get my fancy.
Misaki by Shehla Chatoor |
Alpha by Emraan Rajput |
Alpha by Emraan Rajput just as the name denotes was an army inspired collection which looked formal, but lacked innovation.
Bano by Sanam Chaudhri |
Folk Spirit by FnkAsia |
Siyah-Sufaid by DnF |
Labyrinth by Adnan Pardesy |
Labyrinth by Adnan Pardesy, another monochrome collection but not ‘just another’. This collection was inspired by Asian, African, Greek and even Islamic patterns.
Everything But the Girl by Deepak Perwani |
Everything But the Girl by Deepak Perwani was entirely a menswear collection composed of formals made out of silk, velvet and jamawaar.
Day 3:
Contradictions by Sadaf Malaterre |
Contradictions by Sadaf Malaterre was again made of the two contradictory shades of nature, black and white. It made a point that monochrome will never go out of fashion. The rose headpieces were my favourite bits.
Ravissant by Maheen Karim |
Renaissance by Nida Azwer |
50 Shades Deep by Mohsin Ali For Sana Safinaz |
Shanghai – the cruise collection by Faraz Manan |
Shanghai – The Cruise Collection by Faraz Manan was a well polished with an expensive looking colour palette.
Royal Parade by Nauman Arfeen |
To Karachi, with Love by Maheen Khan |

BOOM! It must be so fun watching it all live. I have never attended a huge fashion show before but I keep an eye on all possible pakistani fashion shows because of my fam's addictions :p though some trends are completely crazy.
